That means you’re not just seeing inspiration.
You’re seeing real-world chatbot flows that are used by thousands of users.
Below, you’ll find 6 WhatsApp chatbot examples (with screenshots and links) that you can try yourself.
Let’s dive in!

1. KLM Chatbot: Real-Time Flight Support on WhatsApp
KLM is the flagship airline of the Netherlands, and one of the biggest airlines in the world. It operates flights to more than 145 cities worldwide and employs over 30,000 people across the globe.
KLM was one of the first airlines to use a WhatsApp chatbot to improve their customer experience:
KLM bot sends relevant information straight to the customers’ WhatsApp. That way, travelers don’t need to dig through their inbox for check-in details or flight updates.
The moment a booking is made, the bot steps in. It shares:
- Confirmation details
- Check-in notifications
- Digital boarding passes
- Gate changes and flight updates
This proactive approach means passengers always have the right info at the right time. And it’s in their pocket.
What really stands out is that the bot doesn’t just push updates. Passengers can ask any question in 10 different languages, and the chatbot is trained to answer it:
The bot already handles 50% of conversations, so human agents have more time for more complex cases.

My Jewellery is a popular fashion brand known for its stylish accessories and strong online presence.
They have 30+ locations across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. So, they get constant questions from their customer base.
My Jewellery offers instant support through WhatsApp. Customers don’t need to wait on hold or dig through FAQ pages.
Their chatbot can:
- Answer common questions in seconds
- Track order status
- Connect you to a human agent if the chatbot can’t answer your question
It’s quick, convenient, and perfectly aligned with how today’s customers prefer to interact.

3. Fred Again: Building a Direct Line to Millions of Listeners
Fred Again is one of the biggest names in electronic music today, with over 13 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
But his marketing approach is what’s truly unique.
Fred doesn’t rely solely on platforms like Spotify or email to reach his fans. Instead, he sends exclusive music updates straight to their phones via WhatsApp broadcasts.
Every time he drops a new track or album, fans who opted in get a personal message. It turns each release into a direct connection.
It’s very smart and effective. WhatsApp messages have a 98% open rate. For reference, email’s open rate is only 20%.
And he’s using WhatsApp high open rate to drive listeners to his music.
4. Plantix: Instant Crop Diagnosis for Farmers Through WhatsApp
Plantix is an agricultural tech company that helps farmers protect their crops with AI.
Plantix is especially popular in regions like India, Brazil and Mexico. Here, millions of small farmers need quick, accurate information.
This helps them keep their crops healthy and productive.
Through a simple WhatsApp chatbot, Plantix brings high-tech crop diagnosis to everyday farmers.
All they have to do is take a photo of a diseased or damaged plant and send it via WhatsApp.
Within seconds, the bot analyzes the image and delivers a diagnosis. It also gives advice for treatment and preventing further issues.
It’s designed to be intuitive, fast, and accessible to farmers with no tech experience. The bot currently supports over 40 crop types and can detect 400+ diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
I like that the bot also doesn’t “hallucinate” a wrong solution. It will let you know immediately if:
- The photo you upload is blurry or unclear
- It’s not a photo of a plant
- The bot doesn’t recognize the plant

5. Parlai: AI Language Buddy on WhatsApp
Parlai chatbot was created by Juan and Nina, two passionate polyglots who wanted to improve language learning.
Language apps like Duolingo or Memrise already exist. But with Parlai, you don’t need to download or log into anything. You can just add Parlai as a contact on WhatsApp and start chatting.
Parlai is an AI-powered chatbot that simulates real conversations in your target language.
They have an onboarding experience. In it, Parlai asks you a few questions, such as:
- What language do you want to learn?
- At what time of day do you want to learn?
- How many minutes do you want to learn daily/weekly?

After that, you can have back and forth conversations every day in your target language.
It’s like you’re talking to a fluent friend, and improving your language skills.
I really like how spontaneous and personalized the experience feels. Parlai can text you out of the blue with a meme, a song suggestion, or a quirky question to spark a casual conversation.
In case you aren’t active for a few days, the bot will send follow-up messages to bring you back.
It also corrects your mistakes as you go and gives grammar tips and feedback to help you improve.
You can also send voice notes and receive audio replies too. That way, you practice listening and pronunciation.
Currently, they support 16 languages, with plans to add more. Calls are also not available yet, but their website says they’re working on adding that feature too.
6. Walk This Way: Self-Guided Walking Tours on WhatsApp
Walk This Way is a travel company that offers self-guided walking tours in cities like Amsterdam, Milan, and San Francisco.
Instead of using an app or guide, everything happens directly inside WhatsApp.
Here’s how it works:
- You buy a walking tour on platforms like GetYourGuide
- You instantly receive a unique access code
- You open the WhatsApp chatbot and enter that code
From there, the chatbot takes over.
It automatically:
- Identifies which tour you purchased
- Asks for your name and preferred language
- Guides you through each stop of the tour
For every stop, you receive:
- Directions via Google Maps
- Images of the location
- Explanations and context
- Clear instructions on where to go next
So instead of downloading an app, you simply follow the entire tour in WhatsApp.
We actually built this chatbot ourselves. And it helped Walk This Way:
- Save €700+ per month in operational costs
- Deliver a smoother, more scalable customer experience
